Sheldon Road Update

04/25/08

On Wednesday April 23, I attended a meeting with ACH Chief Executive Officer, Bill Connelly, and Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Bicking.

·       In Mr. Connelly’s words; “Ford and Valeo are at an impasse in their supplier agreement”.

·       MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) “is still intact. They will review within 30-90 days to determine if a deal can be completed or officially end all negotiations”.

When at an impasse, both parties will discontinue negotiations, get with their respective teams, and go over the data and long term business plan to determine if it is feasible to complete the sale.

I would like to commend all the employees here at Sheldon Road for the great job you are doing in these challenging times.

Sheldon Road is a World Class supplier of Climate Control Products, which is what made Valeo interested in acquiring Sheldon Road. Let’s continue to provide Ford with our high quality components in a timely fashion.  I  promise you  that UAW Vice President Bob King, Region 1A Director Rory Gamble, Local 845’s Bargaining Unit and myself will continue to fight to keep the jobs here at Sheldon Road, regardless of  whether a deal happens with Valeo or not.

Keep up the good work Sheldon Road!

God Bless Sheldon Road & the UAW!

Jerry Carson,

Plant Chairman
